i finished the install, and the car, civic sc hybrid , is driving like a bat out of hell.it pulls like crazy.i have one serious problem though.the drivers side coolant 1" hose at the firewall is leaking. i've tightened the clamp and still no stoppage of the leak, also its leaking inside the car onto the floorboards.i need to know how hard it is to change the firewall heater hose or if its something else.i've connected the drivers side 1" hose to the drivers side of the main water pipe,is that correct ? also ,the instructions say to connect the oil cooler hoses backwards or opposite of the way they were. is that correct also ? thank you to anyone who could please help me out..

just thought of a solution, can i bypass the heater coil alltogether ? by disconnecting both firewall heater hoses and connecting them together, therefore bypassing the heater which i don't really need. is there any other reason the coolant goes into the cab of the car, meaning , are there any other accessories that need coolant,i can't think of any .

Do you have a RHD car?

On my LHD GSR, the 1" hose that gets replaced runs from the driver's side of the water pipe (where you have it already) to a fitting on the PASSENGER's side of the firewall (You say this fitting is on the driver's side).

Is it possible you have the heater core supply hose connected to the heater core return fitting?

BTW, I'm happy to here the power is hitting the pavement!

Also, I don't see a problem with eliminating the heater core from the water circuit until you figure this out.
